Why Vedic meditation?
I think it’s safe to say we could all do with more time to unwind, relax, and decompress. In an age where life is moving faster and faster, we need ways to slow everything down from the inside. We need space to explore new perspectives so we can discover greater purpose, fulfilment, motivation, and action in daily life. Stress steals energy from our nervous systems, disconnects us from our deeper knowing, and puts us into survival mode. Over time this can print out in our bodies and lives as overwhelm, anxiety, depression, addictions, exhaustion and poor sleep, lack of purpose and fulfilment, lack of true connection in relationships, and more. Many of these conditions are considered normal these days, but they’re definitely not natural.
The Vedic sciences from where the practice of Vedic meditation comes from tells us that every human’s natural state is one of deep presence, peacefulness, intelligence, creativity, compassion, unconditional love, and connection to all of life. Meditation, therefore, is not about creating a ‘new you’, but instead is the practice of revealing your essential nature that is currently being clouded by stress, fatigue, and an untrained mind. This is why we say Vedic meditation is effortless, and when you practice it feels very familiar and easy. I invite you to come and discover a daily practice that will literally change your life from the inside out. 20 minutes twice a day in effortless meditation has the ability to positively shift the way you think, feel, and act. This is why we’re meditating - not to become better at meditation, but to enhance our experience of life. If you’re ready, I’m here to share more.

Benefits of a daily practice
Meditation is a powerful antidote to the negative impact of stress and gives rise to greater health and wellbeing. Some people feel the benefits immediately. For others it may take some time to notice and integrate. The benefits are cumulative, so the longer you practice consistently the more you receive. The best part is, you will receive benefits whether you want to or not. Meditation is a practice, not a belief system. We gain good health not by treating disease, but by preventing it in the first place. This is the purpose of a daily practice.
Benefits our Vedic meditation students have experienced include:
Reduced stress, anxiety, and fatigue
Feeling calmer and clearer with self-led motivation
Improved concentration, focus, and memory leading to greater productivity
Ability to stay calm under pressure with greater problem-solving capabilities
More energy throughout the day energy and greater resilience
Regulation of nervous system and ability navigate the ever-changing world
Ability to let go, transform, and adapt in everyday life
Greater self-healing capacity
Greater self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-love
Less mind dominant and more heart dominant
Better quality of sleep and relief from insomnia
Increased physical performance and recovery
Strengthening of the immune system

Feeling happy for no reason
“Amazingly I already feel established in my twice daily practice and re-setting my morning rituals to ‘win the day’."
I feel I’m a much more engaged person to be around. The big surprise has been the out-of-meditation time. Concepts like transcending and manifesting were all very fuzzy and ‘out there’ for me, but by helping me observe my thoughts, trust my mantra for guidance, and be open and curious to what comes, I’ve had ideas, opportunities, and connections seemingly magically falling into my path!

The 4-session course
Vedic meditation is taught in-person over 4 consecutive days.
Session 1 (75min) - In the first session you’ll receive your personal mantra and learn the technique to effortlessly enter the meditative state.
We then refine your practice in the following 3 sessions:
Session 2 (2 hrs) - We explore the mechanics of the technique, the practicalities of meditation, how to create a consistent daily practice, what different meditation experiences mean, and more.
Session 3 (2 hrs) - We take a deeper dive into the mind-body connection, the science of stress, the deeper ‘why’ of meditation, and the powerful perspective of Vedic psychology.
Session 4 (2 hrs) - The final day is all about integration. We share ‘eyes open’ practices for dealing with stress and the challenges of daily life. We tap into the transformative Vedic wisdom and explore topics such as relationships, creativity, and enhancing intuition.
Ongoing support - On completion of the course, you will be a confident independent meditator with a lifetime membership to our Mahasoma Vedic meditation global community (see below).

"After just 6 months of meditating, the person I am now finding is an amazing person, with so many extra levels I never knew I had!"
“I always considered myself a happy and independent person but there were things that always niggled away at me and I just assumed that was the norm... I can now feel a lot of those niggles falling away and I can just focus on what I want to do and who I am – which makes me a better person but also more able to give to others as well. I was on that journey but meditation has certainly helped a great deal! Not all moments are sunshine and rainbows… Being able to recognise that and how to deal with it all and not get worked up as much as I used to (as you say we are still human and things will still annoy us – but we can process it much better if we are grounded and solid in ourselves) is a huge change I have noticed.”
